The FoL happy hour will be held once again at St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin http://dancingmarlin.com/ onThursday Sept 22nd at 6:30. If you don’t know or are new to FoL, St. Pete’s is
at 2730 Commerce in Deep Ellum. Pete Zotos has agreed to keep the meeting at
his place for us even though he no longer has kids at Lakewood so thanks to Pete! We will be discussing this
years fundraiser, what we will be volunteering for throughout the year, and
breaking down where the money that we raise has been and will be going. We will
pass the hat to cover the cost of food and drink so bring some cash.
Start your fundraising strategy now. Do you have people at work you make
money for or that make money off of you? Vendors that you give business to or an
employer that will match your contribution? Parents that would make a donation
in lieu of a Christmas or birthday present for you? Is there an amount that you
can put aside each month to donate instead of trying to do it all at once? Think
